Stigma Within

I find it disheartening and disappointing that I’m unfollowed on wordpress because of my own personal expression of something I deal with day in and day out…and unfollowed by those who have gone through similar experiences. If you want to live your life believing that Bipolar Disorder is nothing but strife and suffering, then by all means do it. I chose not to live my life that way. I chose to see the beauty in everything I can and use it as an advantage. Not over others, but as a way to better myself and those who suffer. Speak of the positives found within every single misfortune. Always. So much stigma, even in the bipolar community. Drives me crazy.

I understand what you’re going through. The same happens to me. I try to remain open to everyone’s way of dealing with what they go through. I’ve never noticed you preaching or shoving anything down people’s throats. This is someone who is an Atheist and has been in a Depressed Episode with days of manic behavior thrown in for a long time. So I would have a hard time with someone who did. I always find you to be honest. Don’t worry about followers. Write for yourself first and eventually the rest will follow.

I was oustep from an enormous bipolar community online years back. Just because I saw it in a different light. It’s a shame. I see all sides, day in and day out. I get the struggle, but at some point I have to move on,

  3. Good for you for seeing the positivity..Just because others can’t, doesn’t mean you have to be different. Do what feels right for YOU! xx
